Download installation instructions Description The product is delivered in parts with spiral wire, no tools are needed for assembly. The basket must be assembled "in series" with a standard gabion. This creates a cost-effective structure and a neater appearance, as double spiral wires are avoided. Welded 5.0mm Aluzink mesh, mesh size 76 x 76mm. Suitable filling material is 100-200mm natural stone or crushed rock, not included in delivery. Dimensions By default, certain standard dimensions are used. At the customer's request, the gabion can be cut to the desired size instead of the standard dimension. Height The standard height of a single gabion is 0.5 m or 1.0 m. If the height of the structure exceeds one meter, gabions are stacked on top of each other until the desired height is reached. However, the wire diameter of the gabions must be 5.0 mm. A wire diameter of 3.0 mm is recommended for structures up to 0.5 m high. A wire thickness of 3.0 mm can be used for a 1.0 m high wall, but the walls of the wall may be slightly uneven. Spiral wire Smaller quantities can be assembled more easily with 3.0 mm spiral wire. No special tools are needed for installation. Pliers can be used to lock the spiral wire and thus prevent the spiral wire from untwisting. From the point of view of transport costs, a more economical option is to deliver the baskets in parts and the customer assembles the baskets using spiral wires. Staples In larger projects, the most convenient way is to connect the gabions with CL50 staples. A special staple pliers is required for this. The advantage of using staples is that they do not stand out as clearly as spiral wires. On the other hand, installation time is significantly shorter and staples are cheaper than spiral wires.
